Pakistan news anchors’ fight goes viral…

A video of two television anchors of Pakistan news channel quarrelling between takes has gone viral on social media.

The video was leaked and uploaded on social media on Monday where the anchors can be seen engaging in a heated argument.

According to reports in NDTV, the anchors were giving live news broadcast on a Lahore-based news channel City 42 when they got into a verbal fight with each other. The dramatic video shows the male anchor complaining to the production crew about the female anchor’s rude behaviour.

“How am I supposed to do the news bulletin with her. She’s saying don’t talk to me,” says the anchor in Urdu.

“I was talking about your tone,” replies the female news anchor, adding, “Speak to me with respect.”

That’s when the he seems to get angry and asks her, “How have I disrespected you?”

Choosing not to retaliate openly, the woman slowly calls him ‘Jahil (ignorant),’ agitating the male anchor even more. He raises his voice and asks the crew, “Tell her to watch what she says. Is all of this being recorded?” The short video ends with the man complaining, “There’s no end to her tantrums.”

The leaked video has been shared several times on social media with many people putting up hilarious comments over the fight. One person wrote: ‘Happens between colleagues. Am sure they had lunch or dinner soon after this’. While, another joked: ‘And then they lived happily ever after’.

This is not the first time that such behind-the-scenes videos have gone viral. Last year, Lawrence O’Donnell, the host of MSNBC’s show ‘Last Word’, apologised after footage was leaked showing the anchor having a profanity-laced meltdown.
