Google just gave you a huge reason to buy this Android smartphone

GOOGLE has announced that it’s slashing the price of its new Pixel 2 XL with fans now able to get £100 off this flagship smartphone.

Google is giving fans the chance to get £100 off its new Pixel 2 XL smartphone.

This latest device was launched late last year and offers an almost edge-to-edge display, market-leading camera and water resistant design.

There’s also a larger 3520 mAh battery tucked inside and Qualcomm’s 835 Snapdragon processor bringing it its power.

The Pixel 2 XL also features the most pure Android experience you’ll find on a smartphone with the famous online firm boasting that users are guaranteed regular security updates for at least three years.

The Pixel 2 XL is usually £799 but this deal from Google sees £100 knocked off that price lowering it to just £699.

That makes it a lot cheaper than new devices such as the Galaxy S9 (£739) and S9+ (£869), with Google saying its promotion ends April 4

If buying this phone SIM-free sounds a little expensive there’s also some good deals on contract.

You can currently buy the smaller Pixel 2 for just £28 per month which includes 4GB of data plus unlimited calls/texts.

There’s a £9.99 upfront fee to pay with the total cost of the contact over two years costing £681.99.

This latest deal from Google comes as the firm says it will be handing-out Google Home Mini smart speakers in a series of pop-up events across London this month.

Starting from March 22nd, Google will hold a series of events across the capital to promote its AI-powered speaker.

Since the diminutive Google Home speaker is about the size of a donut, each of the US search company’s pop-up store will feature two things: donuts and Google Home Minis.

Visitors to the pop-up stores will have the chance to win either a Google Home Mini or donut.

Google held a series of similar events across the United States last year, with people asking Google Home Mini a question and then receiving either two donuts or a free Google Home Mini to takeaway with them.

Even if you don’t win one or aren’t the capital there’s still a deal you can take advantage of with the Google Home Mini currently reduced in price to £34.

The discounted speaker is available until 4 April 2018 at Currys, John Lewis, Argos and the GStore.
